Buemarinoa patrizii Roewer, 1956 is the only species in the genus Buemarinoa (Laniatores:Travuniidae).

NotesEdit

  • This is a troglobytic species that shows a moderate level of specialization to a cave-dwelling existence (reduction of eye tubercle, depigmentation, smooth scute)[2].
  • It is known from a single cave in Sardinia[3] (Grotta Bue Marino[1]).
  • There are two syntypes in Naturmuseum Senckenberg; #11654-52 & RII/11402-52[4]
