Cosmobunus Simon, 1879 is a genus of sclerosomatidae with three species from Mediterranean and two from Central/North America.

PlacementEdit

Originally in Phalangiinae. Transferred to Leiobuninae from Leptobuninae by Cokendolpher (1985: 399). “The Old World Cosmobunus granarius (Lucas) is not congeneric with New World species referred to Cosmobunus. New World species appear to be congeneric with a large complex of species presently referred to Leiobunum. The Old World Cosmobunus were revised and redescribed by Rambla (1970).” (Cokendolpher 1985: 399).
