NotesEdit

  • Location: USA
  • Hallan & many other sources incorrectly cite this species as the type species of the genus.
  • There is a lot of confusion in the literature over the taxonomies of Phalangium nigrum Say, 1821 [and its derivatives] and Phalangium nigrum Wood, 1871 [and its derivatives]. See Crawford, 1992:29-30 for a discussion.
