Mitopus Thorell, 1876 is a genus of Holarctic Eupnoi with 9 valid species and subspecies plus 2 nomina dubia. Its type species is one of the most widespread harvestmen, showing large degree of variation, so it has an immense synonymy.

Etymology[]

Mitopus from Greek μίτος (thread) + πους (foot). Gender masculine.
