Absolon was a Czech naturalist and speleologist, who in the course of speleological expeditions started to describe Opiliones.

Notable contributionsEdit

Absolon ended up describing European Laniatores because they are an important component of cave-dwelling fauna. Examples of taxa described by him: Travunia Absolon, 1920. In association with Kratochvíl: Travuniidae Absolon & Kratochvíl 1932.
