The Paranonychidae Briggs, 1971 are a family (originally subfamily) of Travunioidea with 9 Holarctic genera, [1]. It was elevated to family rank by Shear (1982)[2] and this arrangement confirmed by Mendes (2009)[3]. The Paranonychidae have an Holarctic distribution.
