NotesEdit

  • The male of this species is currently unknown
  • This species has only been found beneath rock piles on a forested slope in Taos Ski Valley, New Mexico[1]
  • Type specimen is at the California Academy of Sciences[1]

The species Sclerobunus glorietus, Sclerobunus klomax and Sclerobunus skywalkeri form a species complex, whose relationships (both within the group and with the rest of the robustus species group) are not entirely clear. Morphological studies and gene analyses produce somewhat differing results. Derkarabetian & Hedin defined three separate species on the grounds that it "is the most conservative and intuitive choice and unlikely to result in future synonymy with increased sampling".[1]
