Baria neblinensis González-Sponga, 1993, by original designation, later renamed as Spongaobaria neblinensis (González-Sponga, 1993).

Included species[]
- Spongaobaria neblinensis (González-Sponga, 1993): 99 - Venezuela (Amazonas).
Notes[]
Özdikmen 2008 states "The name Baria was initially introduced by Karsch, 1896 for a moth genus of the family Limacodidae (with the type species Natada elsa Druce, 1888). The name Baria Karsch, 1896 is still used as a valid genus name in Lepidoptera (e.g. Pitkin & Jenkins, 2007) and includes two species as Baria elsa (Druce, 1888) and Baria transversata Karsch, 1899. Subsequently, González-Sponga, 1993 described a harvestman genus of the family Cosmetidae (with the type species Baria neblinensis González-Sponga, 1993 from Venezuela) under the same generic name. It is still used as a valid genus name. Thus, the genus name Baria González-Sponga, 1993 is a junior homonym of the genus Baria Karsch, 1896. So I propose a new replacement name Spongaobaria nom. nov. for the genus name Baria González-Sponga, 1993."
